Frame for portrait of Ambassador Lawrence by G.P.A. Healy (after restoration)The frame was cleaned, repaired and partially re-gilded. When the dirt and grime were removed, much of the original gold was found to be in good condition. The damaged areas were mostly at the bottom. These were re-gilded and the frame toned to blend the new gold with the original.
